July 13, 2021 research report by Goldman Sachs highlighted one of the first Green issuances in the securitized products space. The $3.0 billion transaction, SLG Office Trust 2021-OVA, is a single-asset single-borrower (SASB) CMBS transaction secured by One Vanderbilt, a newly developed office property in Manhattan. The property achieved LEED Platinum certification and, in addition, received a second-party opinion stating the use of proceeds for the financing was aligned with those recognized by the ICMA 2018 Green Bond Principles.
