State Moratorium Update; DC Extends Moratorium

On May 18, 2021, the DC City Council rejected a proposal to allow residential evictions to restart. Instead, the Council extended the state of emergency to July 25. Under the moratorium, landlords may not file or send notice of an eviction for nonpayment of rent.
